Four ingredient chocolate bites – gluten free and vegan!

Make a four ingredient vegan and gluten free dessert you can devour anytime!

It has been three weeks of experimenting with face care routines, workouts and completing our assignments. Before you reach into that Oman chips packet again, let me help you.

Snacking is great, but not all snacks are good for us, especially with the 15 trips to ‘Al Kitchen Bin Fridge’ every day. Sometimes, you need a replacement for your Chips Ahoy or that tub of ice cream. How about you try these gooey, nutritious yet delicious chocolate bites?

Actually, call it whatever you want because it might just possibly be crunchy and sticky at the same time – an explosion of textures. By the way, you can throw in some chocolate chips if you will, although I have not used it in this recipe. Vegans and everyone interested in healthier alternatives – this one’s for you!

Ingredients

3 ripe bananas

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

3 tablespoons honey

1 ½ cups of oats

Method

  1. Mash the bananas with a fork. You can either mash it completely or leave in some chunky bits if you’d like.
  2. Add three tablespoons of cocoa powder and mix it well.
  3. Add 3 tablespoons of honey.
  4. Add the oats. If you wish to put grind the oats to a fine powder, you can. I left mine the way it is. Mix thoroughly. Throw in some chocolate chips if you’d like – totally optional.
  5. Lay butter paper over a baking tray. Butter the tray a little or use cooking spray to avoid the paper sticking onto the cookies. Add the thick mixture in circles onto the tray.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes (constantly check on it!)
  7. Set it aside to cool. If your bites aren’t firm enough, you can set it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  8. Enjoy!
