Healthy, Soft and Loaded Granola Bars that won’t disappoint
Let’s get one thing straight. Social distancing is a great way to focus on ourselves and learn new things, but it has worsened our eating habits. We’ve been making trips to the kitchen non-stop. Moreover, these assignments have been stressing us out. I’ve been craving something sweet to overcome this unnecessary stretch. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you know exactly what I mean. This quarantine season, I introduce to you, homemade soft and loaded granola bars.
So, what’s special about these granola bars, you ask? Maybe the fact that you can guiltlessly indulge in clean sweet treats; might be because of the healthier and natural substitutes or possibly the fact that it’s extremely easy to prepare. Would it catch your attention if I said it has chocolate chips in it?
Ingredients
2 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup coconut oil
2/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup coconut shavings
1/4 cup flax seeds
Method
- Preheat the oven to 165 degrees C.
- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add the mix to a lined baking tray and flatten them out with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Chill and refrigerate for 30 minutes and cut them up into desired sizes.
