Healthy, Soft and Loaded Granola Bars that won’t disappoint

Let’s get one thing straight. Social distancing is a great way to focus on ourselves and learn new things, but it has worsened our eating habits. We’ve been making trips to the kitchen non-stop. Moreover, these assignments have been stressing us out. I’ve been craving something sweet to overcome this unnecessary stretch. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you know exactly what I mean. This quarantine season, I introduce to you, homemade soft and loaded granola bars.

So, what’s special about these granola bars, you ask? Maybe the fact that you can guiltlessly indulge in clean sweet treats; might be because of the healthier and natural substitutes or possibly the fact that it’s extremely easy to prepare. Would it catch your attention if I said it has chocolate chips in it?

Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats

1/3 cup whole wheat flour

1 tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup coconut oil

2/3 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup brown sugar

4 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate

1/4 cup chopped nuts

1/4 cup coconut shavings

1/4 cup flax seeds

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 165 degrees C.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Add the mix to a lined baking tray and flatten them out with a spatula.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Chill and refrigerate for 30 minutes and cut them up into desired sizes.
  6. Enjoy!
